Chipmunk

Designed by Gen Hagiwara and folded by me.

1 sheet of 30x30cm self-made paper:

• Methylcellulose
• White ultra-thin mulberry
• Natural-coloured thin mulberry
• Umber acrylic paint

Introduction

I folded one 6 years ago using kraft and brown wax paper. Really simple yet beautiful model.

This paper feels significantly thicker than aforementioned paper in this relatively small size, so I used some water to soften the paper when shaping and stiffen it when dried. Maybe I'll try wet folding some day?
