Bicycle

Designed by Jason Ku and folded by me (5 years ago).

1 sheet of 48x48cm (?) black + silver double tissue treated with methylcellulose.

Introduction

The thickness of the paper was just right to fold this model with its extremely thick layers of box-pleating. 5 years later I tried it again with 50x50cm 35gsm double-coloured kraft paper, but failed due to excess thickness around the rear wheel, specifically bearing and kickstand. The paper is light, but not necessarily thin. Wish I had the "paper-making" tools at hand right now so that I can reproduce this...
